Portraits

Consider that most people, unless they're trained models or actors, feel uncomfortable in front of the camera.
Fear not, my friend! A portrait session with me feels more like two friends hanging out...and there happens to be a camera nearby. We'll spend more time chatting, adventuring, and getting to know each other than anything else. I promise to put you at ease and allow you to settle into some truly authentic (and magical) moments.

Lydia was fantastic to work with and really made an effort to understand what we were looking for. The session was very collaborative and we felt part of the creative process. Lydia ensured that we were comfortable and we explored a broad range of locations and scenes. We love the photos and are grateful to Lydia for her beautiful work.

I was super anxious about a photo shoot because I’m not someone who does well with visibility. Being in the spotlight and in front of the camera makes me feel really awkward. I felt safe enough with Lydia to tell her my fears and she immediately focused her energy on making things feel comfortable. It’s the first time I’ve seen photos of myself that I actually felt beautiful in and proud to share. Lydia was able to take in what I said and allow me to portray the calm and “at ease” feeling I wanted to. I’m so excited to use these photos and share them with everyone!

My co-workers and I just finished a corporate headshot session with Lydia in Central Park and it was AWESOME. We knew in advance from her exactly what to expect, guidelines on what to wear, eat/drink ahead of time, and how long it would take. Lydia used a legit serious camera to take really good-looking professional pictures of a staff that could use all the help it can get! We got a bunch of shots that we can use down the road if we ever want to mix things up. THANK YOU Lydia! What a simple thing for us to do to make our Corporate online presence soooooo much more professional!
